I have a ragged heart
Would you like to see it?
Its right here in my chest
Would you like to feel it?
Take this scalpel I have here in my hand
Mark my breast with a bloody 'v'
Yes just like those ones you see
On the TV or in a movie.
You'll cut my flesh but I won't mind
I'll smile as you cut deep inside
And in their you'll see my ragged heart
Beating loud, holes wide apart
With veins so thin you could thread them
Skin so thin you could see right through it
Beat so strained you could race and win
A heart so ragged you could patch it.
I don't mind if you cut my chest
My ragged heart is quite the best
Would you like my heart in your hand?
Don't be shy now, go and demand!

Ragged Heart
Friday, 13 February 2015
Loss (Or Loss Is Not The End, My Friend, Loss Is Not The End)
Without another in its shadow
The sun rises in its orbit
Looking down with gentle rays
At the billions scattered beneath it.
Today is a day without one
But a joyous day
Of a life well lived and well loved
Of sons and wives and warm hearts
Of kisses and " I love yous" and
The suffering, it has passed
The water flows ever on
Rivers of big blue and wet
Turbines still turn and people still walk
Wheels still work and eyes still blink
There is sorrow but there is relief
There are tears, but there are smiles
And there is loss, but there is love.
Is love, always be my love.
Fathers and grandfathers pass on by
But we remain their children eternal
So shine pretty sun
And flow pretty river
And world keep turning

Gentle sun
The sun rises
Finally
Taking the opportunity
Of everyone's joy
He's smiling over us
Thinking
Ah, at last
I have a chance to stretch my arms
I'm out now
So dance people
My hibernation is over
Although
People
They so smile up at him
And think
Wow its hotter
Its better
More beautiful
But they still shiver
With scarves and hats
Adorning neck and brow
A little cold
For
Temperature
Ah sun
So happy that the clouds are gone
So happy the snow
That turned to ice
Is melting
So happy to see your face
After so long
But its
Not quite spring yet
Gentle one
Its not quite spring yet
