There are these times
That won't let go
They grab me by the throat
And won't let go
It's all
Snatch snatch snatch
And catch catch catch
I can't get free
Won't ever get the chance
You see it's a disease, of sorts
An illness, the doctor's say
It's an emptiness of emotions
Not just "sadness" as some think
It's not feeling down
(Though that's often the word)
Its more a void
An emptiness
No matter how absurd
It sounds it's true
It's something in your head
Something in your bones
And you can't get rid of it
It'll come back
Again and again and again
A collection of poems and short stories, from a long time ago and from today. Some are light hearted, others are more serious, some are simply extracts from larger pieces of ficiton I am writing.

Emotions When Depressed
Tuesday, 7 July 2015
Five
For the fifth time the bell tolled
Swinging on its axis in the tower
The clapper in the sound bow
Hitting each side in a rhythm of tone
Back and fourth it swung again
The noise it made a cacophony
Made of brass and sparkling bold
It yelled the hour to the four winds
Five it is, five and no more, no more,
Five it is and no more.
