A collection of poems and short stories, from a long time ago and from today. Some are light hearted, others are more serious, some are simply extracts from larger pieces of ficiton I am writing.

The Necromancer And The End Of The World
This is when all things turn to night
This is a peace that shall be kept
For the dead man cannot object.
There will be a great cry over all
And the last great wonder shall fall
The last great man will wonder
As the world is torn asunder.
He will stand on a green grass hill
Nothing according to his will
But he will ponder the life eternal
As all becomes nocturnal.
The dead will rise and the live will die
They will turn to dust with a sigh
And all the necromancer can do
Is see it all right through
For though he is the man of death
He is still, nevertheless, of health
He is of life and breath and blood
And not of ash, but of mud
A mud that was made eons ago
In a volanic pit moving slow
A soup of biology and fleshy cells
That were born in the mouth to hell.
So this time that is to come to pass
Will come at the era of the second last
And when the last second ticks by
All the living will surely die.
Excepting he who lives beyond
Who lives with death, in death's song
But he will not be able to control his fate
Instead it will be forever too late.
Instead the necromancer will be alone
Not able to die, but still of flesh and bone
Thus he will be of two worlds, and none
Like passion caught between moon and sun.
He will worship the night and the day
Nothing good coming his way
The death will avoid him, and so alone
He will live out eternity, on his own.

Not God
Somethings I don't know
But then
What would it be to know everything?
To know all that there is
To hold the verses in the palm of your hand
Those that were
Those that are
How would it be to
Know all and not be able to learn?
To not go to school and be taught
And not fill your mind with new wonders?
For how can you wonder
When things are not new
When you
Already know what the sunset is going to be like tonight
When you
Already can see what the quantum atom is
How can you
Be able to flow and change
With the ebb of times
When all you are is static
For you know all
You see all
And all there is
Is your omniscience
Mate
You're not fucking God.

Someone
There's above and below
There's inside and out
There's a heart and a centre
There's a mantle and a crust
There's a song crying out for you
There's a father's tears dripping
There's a love
There's a chance
There's someone waiting
Waiting just for you

Love
Your eyes are like the winter storm
Ever watchful, never worn
You're the one to whom my heart is sworn
I have loved you
Ever since I was born

Sniff Sniff Thump
Fourth most popular pet in the UK
I'd say it's going okay.
Well apart from the mass of abandoned
It's alright
We'll get each of you a home
Safe and right
People will learn of the love you can give
They'll realise you're worth every year you live
12 years in the pot, and maybe more
For each one of you
I'm very sure
They'll be a home somewhere
Safe, sound and all that
And one day they'll be laws to protect you
As though as those for the cat
Or those for the dog
What is it they say
"A dog ain't just for Christmas..."
Well neither is a bunny, no way
They're here for life
All well and good
To be loved like they should
Like they deserve right from the start
For a rabbit is a friend from the very heart

Nonense
It's not just a moon
They say
They say that it's a supermoon
It's super strong
And super vivid
Not much bigger
But it's brightness is beyond anything
Anyone has seen
It's a super duper supermoon
Forever too big
To fit in my biggest spoon
Soup or tea or dessert
And despite the fact
I love my food and I love soup
I can't quite stop
Looking at this moon
Big giant supermoon
Brighter than anything
Not coming back soon

Mantle song
Let's all dance to the beat of the earth
Put your ear to the ground
And hear it's pulse
As your filled with the sound
It's a boom boom in the mantle
A thunder in the crust
Pick up your feet and dance
To the song of trust
Listen to her rhythm you dears
See the beasts pronking high
Deer raise their antlers heavenly
And roar to the sky
They bellow out sounds loud
And sounds quiet as mice
It's good to be here
It's good to be nice
Hold the earth tight in your arms
Feel her stone embrace
As she bestows vegetation upon us
Giving us some grace
It's a boom boom in the mantle
A thunder in the crust
Pick up your feet and dance
To this song of trust
