When I think of you
In the past
Scribbling down all these words
Making up these very terms
I imagine you
Walking these streets
Imagining your Kate dancing
Under the covered walkways
She was a shrew you called her
But I think her bright
I call her intelligent
And independent
She just found her right man
In these streets of the university town
Where I expected more but found rain
I imagine you walking, striding
And want to be the same
How you got your inspiration for here
I will never know
Maybe it is just the tolling bells
And the history
That inspired you so
But at least for now I can seek a garden
And imagine Kate there
Sitting on a porch with her beloved
With her wild nature and wilder hair
Singing into the future and the past
So I can hear her now
A collection of poems and short stories, from a long time ago and from today. Some are light hearted, others are more serious, some are simply extracts from larger pieces of ficiton I am writing.
