30/08 Capitalism

I walk this walk every day
And it won't ever go away
It's ingrained in my memory
Ingrained in my head
But I want to be elsewhere
Like - in my bed
But this walk is compulsory
For our capitalist reign
I say it's stupid
But the earth says, "wrong again."
I've read interesting articles
That say thr time is near
That post-capitalism will rear a head
And and say that
It's alright
It's all dead
You can be what you want today
You can be who you want today
But that's not true
It's never going to be true
Because I know I'll be walking this walk
I know I'll be talking these words
Tomorrow
And the day after
And the day after
